To Overview

One of the few Road Racing aces not coming from an Anglo-Saxon county, Austrian Horst Saiger showed he is a top contender several times already. In 2017 he had another very strong season by claiming the Independents Championship at the Isle of Man TT, a strong 3rd position in the Classic TT and by winning the Terlicko road race in the Czech Republic.

In 2018 he switched to the Yamaha R1 and R6 with good hopes for even more success in Road Racing. A big crash resulting in injuries thwarted those plans. During a training session in the Endurance World Championship on the Slovakiaring, where he piloted a BMW of the Gert56-Team, he had an accident and broke his wrist. Horst needed an operation, which meant he was out for some weeks. Thus, to start at the North West 200 and at the TT – Isle of Man was not possible. After all Horst could celebrate a forgiving end of the year with a 6th place at the Macau GP.

For 2019 Horst is fully concentrating on his Road Racing career and will participate on the racing classics TT - Isle of Man, Classic TT, Macau GP, NW200 and Terlicko GP.
