Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter has become one of the regular contenders in the Moto2 championship, now starting his 10th season in the intermediate class. The 2018 season started off in a very special manner, with Dominique receiving a lot of support of his fans through a crowdfunding action enabling him to ride with the highly desired KTM chassis. Once again showing that Aegerter can be considered one of the fan favorites in the Moto2 class.
In signing a one-year contract with the Swiss based MV Agusta Forward Racing team, Dominique has secured his remaining in the highly-competitive and media attractive Moto2 World Championship for 2019. The move to the Forward Racing team was only made in the last moment. For Dominique, however, it will bring a big change again. Apart from the new 765cc three-cylinder engine supplied by Triumph, which will be used as single engine from 2019 on, Forward Racing is set to join synergies with the traditional Italian brand MV Agusta, racing with their rolling chassis.
